As a seasoned visitor to The Shops at Columbus Circle in New York City, I've witnessed its evolution over the years. Located at Columbus Circle, this high-end mall, once part of the Time Warner Center, is now renamed the Deutsche Bank Center. The building itself, a remarkable mixed-use structure, stands on the western side of Columbus Circle, bordering Hell's Kitchen and the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Located across the street from the Southeast corner of Central Park, it's a landmark that features twin 750-foot towers connected by a multi-story atrium.

“The Shops at Columbus Circle offer an unparalleled blend of luxury shopping, fine dining, upscale residential living, and cultural experiences, all located in a prime Manhattan location with stunning views of Central Park.”

The construction of Columbus Circle was completed in 1905. It was one of the city's first traffic circles and has since become an iconic New York City landmark. A central feature of Columbus Circle is the monument to Christopher Columbus, which was erected as part of New York's 1892 commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Columbus's first voyage to the Americas.

The Deutsche Bank Center at Columbus Circle was built on the location of the New York Coliseum, which opened in 1956 as the city's main convention center but was later supplanted by the Javits Center in the 1980s. Following the Coliseum's closure, its redevelopment into what is now the Deutsche Bank Center took some time to materialize, with plans approved in 1998 and construction beginning in 2002. The center officially opened in 2004.

The Shops at Columbus Circle, a key feature of the Deutsche Bank Center, is an iconic destination within the heart of Manhattan. Attracting over 16 million visitors annually, it's a hub for shopping, dining, living, working, and entertainment. The mall offers a diverse selection of over 50 retail shops and boutiques, catering to both residents and visitors alike.

In addition to shopping, the center houses a prestigious collection of Michelin-starred restaurants, including those helmed by renowned chefs like Thomas Keller and Masayoshi Takayama. This makes it a unique destination for gourmets seeking high-quality dining experiences under one roof. The mall's third and fourth stories are dedicated to the Restaurant Collection, featuring fine dining establishments such as Masa, Per Se, and Porter House New York.

But the Deutsche Bank Center is more than just a shopping and dining paradise. It also includes the Mandarin Oriental, New York, a five-star luxury hotel offering 198 guestrooms and 46 opulent suites with stunning views of Manhattan. Additionally, the building houses luxury residential condominiums with 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline, providing five-star living and service amenities.

An integral part of the center is Jazz at Lincoln Center, managed by the internationally acclaimed musician Wynton Marsalis. This facility is not only designed for performance and broadcasting capabilities but also includes jazz education and Dizzy’s Club, a 122-seat Jazz club offering nightly entertainment.
