My Stay at the Tower Spa Suite at MGM Grand: Luxury Meets Leisure in Las Vegas
Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada ✈
The MGM Grand, located on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, is a name that resonates with both grandeur and entertainment history. Opening its doors in 1993, the MGM Grand has been a staple of Las Vegas luxury and entertainment. Situated at the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, it's not just a hotel and casino; it's a behemoth of entertainment, dining, and luxury living. It's one of the largest hotels in the world by room count, offering an experience that's as vast as it is varied.
My recent stay in the Tower Spa Suite at the MGM Grand was a blend of entertainment, relaxation, and a touch of luxury living in the heart of Las Vegas. The suite, sprawling across 694 sq. ft., was a private oasis designed meticulously for both entertaining guests and unwinding in solitude.

“Staying at the MGM Grand, especially in the Tower Spa Suite, is more than just a visit to a hotel; it's an immersion into a world where entertainment and luxury intersect seamlessly.”
Suite Experience
The suite's enormous living area, with a sofa that opens up as an additional bed, presented an ideal setting for hosting a party. The distinction between the bedroom and the living room area, subtly demarcated by a work desk, facilitated a seamless transition between work and leisure. The swivel television, which could be adjusted to face either the king-sized bed or the sofa, was a thoughtful touch, adding a layer of convenience to the suite's luxurious setting.
Storage solutions within the suite were ample, with numerous drawers and a large closet providing enough space to hang clothing and store suitcases out of sight. Despite being situated on the 28th floor with a view overlooking Tropicana Avenue and the hotel's entrance, the view wasn't the highlight of my stay. However, the elevation provided a certain tranquility, distancing my suite from the busy streets below.
Although initially missing a refrigerator, a call to the front desk promptly resolved this issue, with a fridge delivered to my room complimentary—a nice touch by the hotel staff considering they usually charge a fee.
The bathroom, equipped with dual sinks, a shower, and a decadent whirlpool spa tub, was a haven for relaxation. The water pressure was notably good, making for an invigorating shower experience.
The suite contains a safe large enough to hold a laptop and other items. There is also an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer in the room.
Observations and Suggestions
The suites windows have both sheer and blackout shades, both operated by a pully string system. The suite's lighting, predominantly provided by lamps, cast a dim ambiance that wasn't conducive to working at night. An improvement in lighting would enhance the room's functionality for those needing to work after sunset. However, the abundant Vegas natural light during the day compensated well for this shortfall.
Positioned at the end of a lengthy hallway, the walk to the elevator was considerable. For guests with mobility issues, this could present a challenge, though it offers an opportunity for those trying to get in some extra steps and don't mind the walk. Given the MGM Grand's vast size, a significant amount of walking is inevitable when exploring the hotel's amenities.
