While I’ve been to Atlantic City before, I had not had a chance to stay at the MGM Tower at the Borgata Hotel. I had heard good things about it, so I took to the road for a short vacation on the Jersey Shore. I jumped into my Tesla, prepared my playlist and headed to the highway looking forward to the two-hour drive.

“Its exclusive, premium touch paired with the expanded pool access and other facilities elevated the entire experience.”

I was familiar with the Borgata Hotel, having enjoyed a previous stay there, but the MGM Tower is a more exclusive part of the resort. Intriguingly, the MGM Tower, formerly known as The Water Club, had just been refreshed and rebranded, promising an even more luxurious experience.

The 43-story hotel features more than 700 guestrooms, including luxury suites with views of the Atlantic City skyline. There are two indoor and two outdoor pools, many retail shops and guests have direct access to and from the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, entertainment, and nightlife.

My journey through New Jersey came to an end as I pulled into the valet at the MGM Tower. The staff was very professional and welcoming. But the delight didn't stop there. Initially, I had planned to stop at a Tesla Supercharger station on my way back home. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the hotel provided complimentary Tesla charging. The hotel's thoughtful and progressive touch in catering to the needs of the modern traveler added an additional layer of convenience to my trip, making it an even more seamless, eco-friendly experience.

I took an escalator up one flight to the hotel lobby. I didn't have to stop at the front desk because my room key was made available to me through the hotel app. I entered the room and found it to be modern, clean and perfect for my short stay.

One of the biggest perks of staying at the MGM Tower is access to the wealth of amenities at both the MGM Tower and the Borgata. One such privilege was that I could use the pools at both the MGM Tower and at the Borgata as well – an option not available for Borgata-only guests.

During my stay, I enjoyed leisurely walks along the Atlantic City Boardwalk, which was a short drive away. The mélange of people, sights, and sounds on the boardwalk offered an interesting contrast to the serene luxury of the hotel.

No journey is complete without indulging in local cuisines, and I had a nice meal at the Shalom Pita Kosher Grill in nearby Ventnor City.

Reflecting on my previous stay in the Borgata part of the resort, I must say it was quite enjoyable. However, if I were to offer a recommendation between the two, I'd give a firm nod to the MGM Tower. Its exclusive, premium touch paired with the expanded pool access and other facilities elevated the entire experience. The MGM Tower in Atlantic City successfully fuses luxury, relaxation, and fun in one destination – truly a delightful place to park your electric vehicle or gas-powered car and recharge your mind, body and soul.
