During my recent trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, I ventured beyond the glitz of the Strip to discover a gem located approximately twenty-five minutes away by car. My destination was Casa Mia, a kosher dairy restaurant that has quickly become a staple for both locals and visitors seeking authentic kosher Italian fare.

“My meal at Casa Mia was a delightful escape from Las Vegas Boulevard, offering a taste of kosher Italian cuisine that is both authentic and accessible.”

Casa Mia's journey began with its family owners' move from Orlando, Florida, where they operated Wheely Kosher Pizza, a kosher pizza food truck. Bringing their passion for food and cherished recipes to Las Vegas, they established Casa Mia, aiming to provide the community with a taste of home. This family-owned and operated establishment prides itself on its commitment to quality, using only the freshest ingredients to create an array of Italian classics.

The menu at Casa Mia is a testament to the family's dedication to their craft. Patrons can choose from handcrafted New York-style pizza, strombolis, a variety of pasta dishes, salads, and more. They even have gluten free options. Each dish is prepared with a keen eye for authenticity and a respect for kosher dietary laws, ensuring a dining experience that is both inclusive and delicious.

During my visit, I ordered the baked ziti, a comforting and hearty choice. The dish arrived piping hot, generously coated in a rich marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. The pasta was cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying bite with each forkful. The marinara sauce was the star of the dish, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, highlighting the quality of the ingredients used. Accompanying the ziti were garlic knots, which were nothing short of spectacular. Soft and infused with garlic, they were the perfect complement to the meal, making it a memorable experience.
