During a recent visit to Las Vegas, Nevada I took a brief 10-minute Uber ride from the Vdara Hotel & Spa to dine at Jerusalem Chef's Table, a kosher restaurant that has been serving Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine for over a decade.

I knew I was still in Vegas when I noticed that the restaurant was in a strip mall next door to a Tattoo Parlor and a Thai Massage Spa. So theoretically, you could have dinner, get inked and relax all in one evening. However, I decided to stick with one activity, a meal at Jerusalem Chef's Table.

“My meal at Jerusalem Chef's Table was a delicious authentic kosher Mediterranean spread. The restaurant's commitment to quality, affordability, and customer focus is evident in every dish served.”

The restaurant's atmosphere was inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor. The space was well-lit, with ample seating and a warm ambiance that seemed perfect for both casual and special dinners.

To begin my meal, I chose the Shawarma Tacos. They were a delightful fusion of Middle Eastern flavors served in a familiar Mexican format. The tacos were generously filled with slow fire-roasted chicken, marinated in a Turkish Bazaar spice mix, and topped with a citric Pico de Gallo. The spice balance was spot on, providing a zesty kick without overpowering the tender chicken.

For the main course, I indulged in The All American Steak - an 18oz 28-day aged Rib Eye steak. It was an impressive dish, de-boned and sliced, allowing me to appreciate the succulence of the meat fully. The steak came accompanied by garlic confit, balsamic onions, and Argentinean chimichurri. Each component on the plate was an example of the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor. The garlic confit was soft and mellow, the balsamic onions added a sweet tanginess, and the chimichurri sauce provided a bright, herbaceous note that cut through the richness of the steak.

Beyond my meal, Jerusalem Chef's Table boasts an extensive menu filled with Mediterranean favorites, all prepared under strict kosher supervision. The offerings range from the traditional hummus and falafel to more substantial entrees like Slow Fire Shawarma and Black Angus Persian Kabob Skewers. For those with a preference for vegetarian dishes, the menu does not disappoint, featuring items like the Smoked Eggplant Carpaccio.

The service was attentive and professional, contributing to a dining experience that was both comfortable and satisfying. The restaurant also caters to a variety of needs beyond the dine-in experience, offering carryout, delivery, and Shabbat and catering services, ensuring that their delicious offerings can be enjoyed in multiple settings across the Las Vegas valley.
